If you're visiting Disneyland or Disney's California Adventure Parks, you might be concerned about the length of the lines and wait times. There are a ton of "hacks" to minimize wait times, even on busy days. But one of the best is the Single Rider service available at a few select attractions.

What is Single Rider Service?

Normally, when you queue up and wait your turn, a cast member will ask you how many are in your party. Then, they do some quick planning and make sure that your group can sit together. Families with small kids are big fans because they'll never need to worry about their kids getting separated.

But what if you're traveling with a group of adults? Do you really need to sit together for a 90-second ride? You can get through the line much faster by breaking the group up. This is basically how the Single Rider service works.

When you're in the Single Rider line, you will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. As a result, you will likely be separated from your friends until the ride ends, and you'll probably sit next to strangers. But doing so makes the line go much faster since the Single Rider line is already shorter and moves much faster.

Disneyland Rides That Have Single Rider Lines

There are only three Single Rider lines at Disneyland Park. They are found at the Matterhorn Bobsleds, Splash Mountain, and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run.

Matterhorn Bobsleds

Matterhorn Bobsleds

It's not hard to find the towering Matterhorn--no matter where you are in the park. Zip your way through the Alpine tundra, but watch out for the Abominable Snowman.

Splash Mountain

A classic Disney ride, Splash Mountain's log-themed water ride has been around forever. It's located in Critter Country, and you'll meet over 100 audio-animatronic critters along the way.

Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run

Star Wars fans won't want to miss this full-motion flight simulator ride. Sit inside the spaceship's iconic cockpit and be the pilot, gunner, or engineer.

Disney California Adventure Rides That Have Single Rider Lines

The California Adventure Park has a few more choices. Here, you can choose between the Grizzly River Run, Incredicoaster, Goofy's Sky School, Radiator Springs Racers, and Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure.

Grizzly River Run

This fun whitewater raft adventure simulates a river trip through the California mountains. Rafts are circular and hold eight riders. Experience spewing geysers, mountain caverns, and the legend of Grizzley Peak. But watch out for the coyotes!

Incredicoaster

Incredicoaster

A roller coaster for big kids, the Incredibles join you to catch Jack-Jack on a high-speed chase through teleports and tunnels.

Goofy's Sky School

Learn to fly with Goofy on a roller coaster-style adventure. This 1,200-foot-long flight school-themed coaster is zany and fun--whether you want to be a pilot or not!

Radiator Springs Racers

Part of Cars Land, this movie-themed ride features a little friendly racing competition through the Cadillac Range Mountains.

Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure

The Happiest Place On Earth--With a Group or Without!

Disney is a fun place to visit, but let's face it--who doesn't want to make the line move a little faster! So spend less of your day wondering about questions like, Why is Disneyland in Anaheim?--which is a good question, by the way--and more time riding the rides and enjoying the "Happiest Place on Earth."
