Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA, is an iconic theme park that's been delivering excitement to guests for over 100 years. From its roots as a family farm with fried chicken dinners and an Old West Ghost Town to explore, the current 160-acre park has four themed areas, great eateries, energetic shows, and dozens of rides that keep visitors streaming through the gates.

Knott's Berry Farm keeps evolving to meet the needs of its guests, with updates to many rides and areas to increase guest satisfaction. Luckily, you can get a sneak peek at what's new at Knott's Berry Farm for 2023, so you can plan a fun family vacation!

Timber Mountain Log Ride

The Timber Mountain Log Ride gets a new look, with updates in the scenes and special effects that enhance the experience on this fan-favorite water ride. The Calico Ghost Town theming is a blast to take in as you enjoy one of the oldest log flumes in the United States.

Montezooma: The Forbidden Fortress

Montezooma's Revenge

This legendary rollercoaster is getting a name change with the renovation project, but the theme of finding Montezuma's gold and breaking the curse remains.

This coaster is historic as being the first flywheel-launched ride, and the updates include randomizing the launch sequence, so guests cannot guess if the coaster will go forward or backward at the start. Other new features include switching from a lap bar to over-the-shoulder restraints for safety and comfort, new train cars with onboard lighting, and special effects at the station.

Viva Fiesta Village

Fiesta Village

Fiesta Village has been a Knott's Berry Farm staple since 1969. In 2023, the park will reveal a facelift of the entire area that includes a more impressive performance stage and a row of Mexican-inspired shops and restaurants that highlight the impact of the Hispanic culture on Southern California life.

The main street of Fiesta Mercado mimics the vibe of LA's Olvera Street, where you can shop for authentic and unusual items, stop for custom-built burritos and tacos at Casa California, or quench your thirst at the Cantina Del Sur. The Fiesta Stage features upgrades in lighting and design, and everywhere you look, the landscaping and decorations burst with bright and cheerful colors.

The Boardwalk

The park will also implement some changes to the Boardwalk, with fresh styling of the landscaping and decor that will enhance the thrills when you ride the Coast Rider, The Surfside Gliders, or the Pacific Scrambler, which are the top attractions in this area.
